Why People Hate Mbappé: The Footballer Everyone Loves to Hate (But Can’t Ignore)

Why is that so? Why do people hate Mbappé so much? Here are a few reasons why I think some fans of the sport can’t stand him:

2. Arrogance: Some people might see Mbappé as arrogant or full of himself. He has a lot of confidence in his abilities, and this can come across as arrogance to some people. This might be especially true for those who do not know him personally, and only see him in interviews or on the pitch.
3. Playing style: Mbappé is an attacking player who likes to take risks and go for a goal. This playing style can be seen as flashy or showy, and some people might not appreciate it. Additionally, some might argue that his playing style is not as effective as it could be, and that he needs to focus more on team play.

These are only some of the most obvious reasons why people might hate Mbappé, but of course, there could be many more — maybe even some obscure ones, and definitely many ridiculous and petty ones. An example of this is the widespread news of Neymar and Mbappé’s penalty-taking fallout during the year 2021, with alleged reports of them even having a physical argument later on. However, we can never know anything for sure. We don’t know any of them in person, we don’t know the reality of what happened, and to be frank, anything that goes on between them is none of anyone else’s business.

Another propagator of hate is the infamous media. They will pick on any small act or movement to portray a popular figure as arrogant, selfish, unworthy, or hated. For the sensible ones, this is nothing new. The media is always the least reliable source if you’re looking to determine someone’s character or behaviour.

To sum it all up, while some people may dislike Kylian Mbappé for various reasons, including his style of play, perceived arrogance, how he’s shown in the media, or even his race, it is important to remember that it is not up to us to judge someone’s behaviour or character. As fans and spectators, we should focus on celebrating Mbappé’s achievements as a great footballer, and appreciate the entertainment and joy he brings to the game. At the end of the day, it is Mbappé’s skills, talent, and passion for the sport that make him a valuable member of the football community, and an inspiration for aspiring players around the world.
